This was the first attempt. I did all the bending by hand. My vise is not liking me at the moment. I'm already into attempt #2 using a 6ft piece of pipe as leverage and to get a more consistent bend. I've got 2 more bends to go

And I'm stuck...

Giant gap between plastic and seat...not so good.

Good news is that I have enough room for the helmet lock..

And without the seat...

I was thinking, "hey, just cut the U-shape part off then weld it to the grab handle" but then I found out it's aluminum and I don't have a TIG welder

It's getting late, it's supposed to be perfect out tomorrow, so this is on hold for a couple of days

UM, coming out good man .....like that bar stock idea ..... strong

how bout chopping bar stock at end of grab handle (seat lock height)
drill each "leg" and bolt to grab handle at
the two threaded holes at rear of grab handle

then weld a bar across level with top of grab
(making a "D" as you look down on it )
handle and drill hole in top grab handle and bolt
to a welded tab center of the bar that is level with
grab handle

like a 3 point bolt attachment

Just an idea ! ..... kinda what I plan

Like I said I like that bar stock....... where'd you geddit ?

This is possibly the weirdest thread I've ever seen. Can't we just stick to Origami?
