Sell or Part out my Hurricane?

Sell or Part out my Hurricane?
I have a 1991 Honda cbr1000f. I bought it off a guy who crashed it and rebuilt it. It has the '91 main fairings and the rest of it is from a '93 donor bike. He didn't do the greatest job putting it back together. I'm trying to decide if I could get more for it if I part it out or it I sell it whole. It only has 13K miles on it.
Thanks for the input!

General appearance and how it runs will determine what you can realistically get for it out-right. If there is one specific problem area, parting out is a viable option, because the majority of the bike is in great condition. However, if the majority of the bike's fairings are rashes and there are other problems, the bike's value is in its functionality and it will probably sell better as a whole than in parts.
As with most things in life - it depends. Post a picture of it, and do some research to see what bikes sell for in like condition and what parts sell for.
Also ask yourself how much time you're willing to deal with parts sitting around for.

4 things to consider before making the decision,
1-Like Conrice pointed out, how much time do you want to spend taking it apart, selling and packaging for shipping and what's the return?
2-How much time and money will it take to get it road worthy?
3-Is this the type of bike you'd be happy with?
4-Replacement cost; What would you spend to buy a similar bike?
Replacement cost is the biggie. I could spend a lot of money on a new bike that does exactly what my 20 yr old bike does. I'm happy with my bike and will keep it for years to come. Its simply not worth selling. I can't replace it.

Too bad -there are heaps of stick coil sets listed on US ebay and several are in the $20-30 range. Great time to buy or pick up an extra set for future use for the guys over here! Maybe a decent shipping price could be worked out...
