Default Saddle bags wanted

Does anyone has any used saddle bags they would get rid of reasonable ?

I'm gonna hit the rode for a 4 day rally the first of Oct, and need saddle bags to
hall my gear, so I can strap a tent and sleeping bag across the rear seat.

I found some Dowco's for $60, but I don't know if I'm ever gonna use them again,
and didn't want to get in trouble with the wife for that and being gone too.

I already have a tank bag and another tail bag but I really need the saddle bags.

I hop you can find good deal. I use the saddle bag daily, but if your wife gets on your back seat, you may need little modification. I have a Nelson Rigg's DLSB-500 Deluxe Saddlebag, but the mouting strap gets on the passenger grip when I try tomake a room for passenger. Even set the bag very back of the seat, bag stays bad spot for rear passenger. It means the bag blocks passenger pegs. Also even if I take the grip off of the bike, stock rear turn signals hit the bag. If you are thingking get your wife on your back, avoid the Nelson Rigg.

Wife will not ride ! thats good and bad...
Don't have to worry about a rider.
She just doesnt like me spending the money for the bike,
norbeing gone, and this rally is gonna be about 4 days.

You may envy this... I got the Nelson Rigg's bags for only $25 from Dennis Kirk's closing sale this spring. Of course it was new. Nelson Rigg just changed the model. If you do not realy care for the style, check out this link. They have only saddlebags for cruisers, but cheap...

The previous owner of my bike gave me some Eclipse brand bags that I never used. I'm not sure if they're what you had in mind. Check out these pics and let me know if you'd be interested. There are(2) plastic clips that fasten to the rear foot peg/exhaust hanger bolts that I didn't have stored with the bags (for some stupid reason). Let me know if you're interested and I'll look for them - I know I didn't throw them out. I also have a matching tank bag, if your interested.

do you sell that tank bag too?
If simtech doesn't want it. I am interested. How much are you asking for the tank bag?
Are you in US anyway?

Well, I have some bad news. It seems that I am a moron and misplaced, not only the (2) clips that are used to mount the saddle bags, but also the (3) clips that are used to mount the tank bag.[sm=alcoholic.gif]So, unless you have your own, or can find replacements, the bags are pretty much useless. I'm going out to the garage now to take one last look, but I am not very optomistic at this point.

Price-wise, I was thinking around $30-$35ish+ shipping for the saddle bags and the same for the tank bag (assuming I could find the mounting clips). If I can't find the clips and someone is still interested,I guess I'd be willing to sell each for around $20/pc + shipping.

Will post back shortly.

[edit]
Well, good news and bad news. I found the mounting clips for the saddle bags. They were inside the bags after all (there's more compartments in those suckers than I thought).[sm=bangbang.gif] Unfortunately, I could not find the (3) clips for the tank bag. At this point, I am giving up hope that I will find them. I'm starting to wonder if they even came with the bike. I assume it is a fairly common setup and that if you have an existing tank bag, this one would, hopefully, mount to the clips already in place.

I did a quick google search and found that the tank bag is still being manufactured and sells for around $100 (http://www.bikesax.com/Merchant2/mer...tegory_Code=TR). I could not find the saddle bags.

I would be willing to sell both (saddle & tank bags) for $50 + shipping.
or
Saddle bags only, for $35 + shipping /tank bag only, for $20 + shipping.

I'm located in Lake Orion, Michigan (48362) - not sure what shipping costs would be, but I will not gouge you.

Let me know, if still interested.

Hi there. I'm in Canton, MI. I'd be interested in the saddle bags (and tank bag if you could locate the clips. I work in Livonia and sometimes Warren, and could pick up the bags or meet you someplace. I'm going on a tour with some friends in a couple of weeks and really could use at least the saddle bags (my friend has a tank bag I can borrow, but it's in Chicago with him...)

Thanks!
