Default Rothmans

Hi can anyone tell me the history of this bike or any info of how the HRC came about. Was this just someone's personal colour scheme? Was it only available in certain countries? etc....

Not produced as standard colour scheme on the 1000F to my knowledge.
They did produce one in Benetton colours - Mo has one.
Looks damn nice though !

I loved that Rothmans paint scheme. That and the Suzuki Pepsi one!

Back in the late '80's there was a Competition by maybe [Fosters Lager?] to win a CBR 1000 in the Rothmans colours around about the time racing returned to Phillip Island circa 1988.

Then again it might have been Swan Lager....????

Sadly it's not mine I found the photo on the web, the bike is in NZ and that is all i know about it. I'm looking at a tired 88 F at the moment that needs a repaint so was trolling the web for suitable colour scheme's. Got to do some more investigating on this one as it looks fantastic. I'll see what i can find out about the Swan/Fosters Rothmans prize bike.

This is the only other photo i have found on the web so far. I am thinking that I might hold out till i can find an 87 F and then give it the "Rothmans" paint.
