Default Replacing headlight bulbs!

Is there an easy way to do this or is it fairing off?

I know this is a stupid question, but working it out practically will be much more painful than just asking the experts!

Underneath the headlight, there is a small piece of fairing which you can take out.
If you don't have hands like King Kong (which i unfortunately have [>:] ) you can get to the headlight bulbs.

Schuifelhoofd method might work, but there is a clip that holds the bulb(s) in that is difficult to see and more difficult to get at from underneath. I replaced a bulb recently and I got in there by removing the molding around the instrument pod, which I think requires you to remove the windscreen and also the fuse cover on the left side and it's counterpart on the right. It's still a little difficult to do but it can be done without removing the fairing.

I have King Kong hands so I have to do it the hard way.

Remove Screen
Remove Dash cover
Undo Dash, but no need to unplug anything. This should give good and easy access to the lights.

I also go through the top.

The Honda part is different from the normal H4 bulb. Honda and others use this bulb in bikes and I believe it has a P43T base.

The fix for mounting a normal H4 bulb such as a Sylvania Sliverstar 9003 St bulb or any other bulb is quite simple.

Tools needed: pliers, wire coat hanger

(1) Flatten the tab at 12 o-clock. (It will widen it some as the stock part is wider)

(2) Flatten the two **** at 6 o-clock. (Important)

(3) Cut a small piece of wire coat hanger to the length of about the diameter of the round disk of the bulb.

(4) With the piece of wire placed behind the round disk at 6 o-clock, bend the two tabs at 4 and8 o-clock backwards toward the electrical connectors and squeeze them down locking the wire in place.

(5) Install the bulb as if it were factory part.

I simply cut the two skinnier tabs off. The stock clip will hold the bulb in place.
