Default Replacement Mirrors

Anyone have suggestions for replacement mirrors for an '87? I'm not sure what would fit. They seem to have a unique mounting bracket.

I was never happy with the OEM and now that I'm planning on painting it, I'm looking for some wider mirrors in black.

Some of us have been using bar end mirrors forever. A matter of taste for sure, but I think they give any bike a better look than the micky mouse ears the OEs keep ugliying bikes up with.

It seems that newcomers to barends need a little time to adjust.

CRG's are like the gold standard of this type mirror. They are pricey, but well made.

I flipped $107 American for a new left-hand mirror. I can see behind myself better with it. I was unable to locate one at the junk yard.

I personally like the blackbird mirrors (with built-in indicators) a lot. Don't know about fitment issues. Biggest problem is finding them second hand so that i don't go mess up a brand new mirror while 'adjusting' the fitment.

I've always thought it'd be neat to mount a small webcam under the tail somewhere that had a feed to a PDA or some other device that streamed the web cam real time... then there'd be no need for mirrors at all!

That would be a totally do-able mod. (Although I wouldn't have a clue where to put the screen)

but...

Over here it would work like a cop magnet. Having to mount the mirrors back on, stop by the police office the next day and explaining why you were watching TV on your bike while driving.

You will still need mirrors to keep the cops of your back
