if somone could send me some links to places i can get parts i would appreciate it very much.
maybe i'm just not lookn in the right places.

RE: reg/rec?
My friend has an old Suzuki that uses a separate regulator and rectifier. After testing with a voltmeter, the rectifier was bad. We went to the motorcycle junkyard and got a regulator/rectifier from a newer Yamaha. It worked great. For what a regulator/rectifier does, any one of them from a Volkswagon or a Harley should work. But I would look for one from a Honda that has similar couplings so you don't have to cut and splice wires like we had to do.

Try these guys, they're in the UK but i'm sure they ship all over this little world of ours.

They have reg/rec for 95 quid I think. Just go to the genuine parts section then dial in the cbr1000f and away you go.
They also have a pattern part for about 55 quid. Not sure what the current converion rate is to dollars.
Cheers and happy hunting,
Kev.
