TBT, looks we both did basically the same thing, you just took a little more off the fender and you have extra helmet locks. The job madkawa did in the thread you posted looks great, but that is just way more work than I wanted to do.

Glad to help out. Take a look at the thread TBT posted in his response in this thread. There some good pics of his bike with the tail body piece off and you can see how the plate light is mounted. Post some pics when you're done.

Pics as requested, remember - this is the minimum fender that we are allowed before the police force the bike to undergo inspection.

Hey boink, doesn't the man have better things to worry about than the length and angle of your fender?! What a joke huh? Oh well, better to comply than get hasled all the time by the cops.

Tallenuf, yep I agree. You'll find its the police in vehicles rather than bikes who get you. Bikes in Aus seem to have a bad relationship with the police. just under 50% of riders in Western Australia do not have the appropriate licence for their bike. So when they pull you over and you are licenced - they start to look for other things to pick on....Still happy tho - you gave me the courage to rip mine down - I hated it for a long time!

on my 90 I was able to wire my signals to the extra parking light bulbs on either side of the main brake/tail and then leave only enough of the stock plastic to bolt my plate to.
I just went looking for pics and all my pics are front. I'll try to get one of the rear.
