Radiator Paint?
The radiator on my bike is showing it's age, there's no leaks or damage, it's just looking tired, if I paint it will it inhibit the cooling?
If painting doesn't cause problems does anyone have any recommendations for the type of paint to use?
Thanks.

paint ............wot ya think ?
good cleaning required first though

I was thinking a black high temp paint, maybe Hammerite or something of that ilk, so long as it wont impede the cooling, though I don't see why it should so long as the vanes aren't blocked.
Yeah I think a brush job might be a good idea, unless you want to take it off the bike

Any of the high temp VHT style canned spray paints will be fine .... I have used a couple of different ones on mine and never had any issues with temp ...
As long as you don't go pouring the stuff on of course
...lol
Better if you do very thin light coats .... 2 at least ..

Screw it , that's gonna be a next winter jobbie for me , suns shining
time to get riding
Eastwood makes a high-temp paint called Radiator Black for automotive use. It's a high temp paint that's formulated a little thinner than normal paint to aid heat dissipation. I've used on my cars, but never a bike. Be sure to de-grease the radiator good before using
