Yer , well after watching this thread go for a million posts ...
I recon just take the bits to your local motor spares or radiator repair outlet and get the replacement stuff , "T" included from those buggers ...
I am sure that some make of something automotive has those T 's of some description available for cents
but then I spose WTF would I know ...LOL

I know I need to replace my hoses too. mine has a smell of burning coolant but there are no leaks. Another Hurricane owner told me there were a couple of O rings somewhere that go bad causing the smell. I have just learned to live with it for now since there are no leaks. ANybody know about the O rings??

Take your fairings off and check from cold. If you can't find leaks when the engine is warm it must be leaking from somewhere near to something that gets hot quickly or you're just not looking hard enough. O rings that may leak are either located on the water pump body or the two top end outlets that come out either side of the cylinder head. It should be pretty obvious if these are leaking but I wouldn't put them as prime suspects. They're big.
The radiator is the other suspect if you can't find anything. Rads can develop minute leaks when they get old but heat build up can evaporate liquids fast enough for them to be undetectable with the naked eye. Check the filler cap too.

I can't help saying I told you so but....... nah.... I'm not goin to say it.
It's funny how you've all gone.... f'kin skin flint.... what's a few dollars for the sake of new pipes and then actually checked to see what wallet releif Honda are offering. Like I said.... nah..... I won't go there any more!
Ding....... sound of penny dropping.......
Trout, have you tried fitting any stock rubbers? They come in metre lengths and look hopeful but I've never tried them either on a bike or a car. They seem the osrt of thing you'd carry to get you out of the sh*t if you're in the arctic doing a one man assault on the north pole. I'm interested to know if anyone's had any of these fitted for any length of time.
Other than that... yeah..... the lad in the car spares shop should be able to find a suitable lookalikee to suit all the pipes on a 1KF for a tenth of the Honda ransom. Tips optional.

There's also a complete thermostat unit on e-bay UK with a filler cap for 4.99 pounds.
BTW - the thermostat is a real bugger to get out without breaking it - there's a thin brass tube with the thermo unit inside it, and due to the difference in the metals, the thing will twist off behind the thread, leaving you with a section stuck in the filler unit. Care is needed (broke mine, hence bought a whole unit on e-bay)
