Talking Well .......not as bad as I thought it might be

Clamp holding hose to bottom of the Thermostat Housing (above the Y )was
not tight enough so it dripped down on the #4 exhaust pipe and bottom
Radiator frame. Fluid ran down to 2nd clamp and dripped off
from there.

Also other minor issue the overflow reservoir cap was off too, forgot to mention
earlier in earlier post , ......wtf....... I'm thinking that was from when I had it in
the shop back in July getting the fork seals done..

Anyhow I went through the whole set of hose and ..................next few
weeks I'm replacing every single one as they're ballooning out at most
of the joints ........so it's just a matter of time before one pops. New
stainless clamps all around too I 'd say. some of these are rusting up.

Thanks for your input .......doing a clutch master bleed since I have the
fairings off atm

& Henry ...........you'd make a great butler ..............LOL

Change that while you're in there too Sprocky. If I remember right it was under $10

I'm too flatulent to take up butlery professionally though I occasionally do naked ironing for the wife's amusement.
That pipe you're showing is the same one that blew on me. A pin hole right in the back of it. I think it might be worth changing the Y piece too.
Will that be all sir?

Why certainly Jeeves .......take the rest of the evenin' off my good man.
Do some more ironing for your missus

yeah I think between you, Malbojah & Mike all saying the Y is a potential
failure candidate after nearly 20 years ..........it's getting switched out with
all the hoses etc.

Anyone know what the hose spec's are ?? Think I'll go with making them
as they are all relatively straight looking.....nothing looks tight enough that
it'd kink at a turn.

Default Hose $$$$

So all the parts when plugged into Mister Cycles comes to $159.81 !!!

So I'm not going that route except for maybe the T

Hey Mike where did you get that $10 T ?? ......It's like 20 at Mr C's

I would probably just pull off the hoses you want to replace and take them to an auto parts store and buy lengths of the sizes you need. It'll be much cheaper.
Same with the clamps.
For the Y... it's probably pretty specialized. You may be stuck with dishing out the $20+ for it.

Gee I bought a thermostat housing, temp unit 3 hoses and the y-piece connector for 10 bucks on e-bay (pls the hose clamps and the rad cap)
My y-piece went too - they do if the bike fan doesn't come on, and they're brittle.

And I wouldn't want either of you for a butler - too much flatulence.............

Sprock, the cheapest I could find the joint pipe was through ServiceHonda @ 18 + shipping. For the hoses, I would take them to your local auto parts store and try to match up some pieces. They'll probably just B.S. you that you need a make and model car to cross reference it. Just drop the hoses on the counter (full of coolant still ) and bug them until they let you walk down the back isle to check their hoses.

If it's a decent parts store, you should be able to buy it off a roll in whatever length and size you need.
