Well, so are the Honda's. But, montana.matt, it's not you that I'm worried about. Its Sprock with all his gizmos. He's going to be dick fiddling with his lift and oil thingy and I know I can bet him in an oil change. He says he's not going to use his lift...yeah...right!

OH! This isn't bashing, it's just the way Sprock and I show our affection for each other. LOL

No worries, TBT
The " " at the end of that statement was meant as sarcasm

We'll be watching this thread to see who actually wins the bet

Never mind TBT - he's a known "envy" type of Guy -
Anyway I have gone ahead and ordered one - not the spout one tho.

If I don't like it - the Garden Tractor will be much easier to change the oil on now
that f'n thing has the worst placing of a plug I have ever seen - Kohler Motor !

OMG way too funny....

You haven't tried to change oil on a Stratoliner. You need to get the bike level w/o a center stand and then get a stubby up in on, not one, but two places between the engine and frame. Then drain the oil tank and pull the filter. If that gizmo would fit between the frame and engine I'd be all over it.

^

But then you'd be Bling-a-ling-a-ding-dong and you'd have to find one all dressed up in chrome too

^ Even if it were pink, no one would see it. I'm telling you, they buried them. You need a stubby or it hits the floor. A lift is of no use because you still need to lay on your back to see the two drain plugs. You can't get the box end on them due to the angle of the box end. Total suck city my friend.

Whoda thunk a post about a oil drain plug would have gone 6 pages

I decided to take advantage of the nice weather today and change the oil on my baby. I did not use the quick drain plug, as the one I bought (with the nipple on it) hangs down too far. It hangs down just barely below the fins. It can be modified by cutting the nipple off or I may just buy a new one without. Just thought I'd let you guys know....

^ We're just biding time until the first shipment comes and get some feedback.

Just by holding it up to the drain hole, it looks like the plug without the nipple will clear just fine... FWIW
