I was a bit more fortunate. I took the chairs out first and dumped them, mainly because they took up too much space. Thank God then the freezer went. God I feel lucky. Still cant move in the shed though............................................ .....Must remember that I've still got plenty of junk to manouvre around to get the girl out. Hope that I dont have too do any serious buffing

Been there, done that. Once the the CB650. I've had it since new and kept it pristine except for the turn signals, which have been replaced sev eral times. Then last year while getting something out of the shed I bumped up against it and knocked it off the center stand, putting a great dent in the right side of the tank. Must admit several bad words escaped.

The first month I had the CBR it was on the side stand while I put the luggage on. That finished I double checked everything, wiped it down and walked away. when I was about ten feet away the horrible sound of a bike hitting the ground reached my ears. I still don't know how it rolled off the side stand and fell on a wooden chair next to it. One five or six inch crack in the left side front fairing which was easily repaired. I was lucky. Oh yeah, the chair is gone.

I should change my profile to have 4 vehicles at the bottom of the post, have 3 cars and a bike at the moment, 7 if you count the lawnmower, whipper-snipper and edger.

Oh yeah, anyone in S.E. Queenland, have a 2000 model falcon wagon for sale.

Thanks fellas, I'm glad I'm not the only one!
I'm waiting on the insurance company at the moment. I hope they don't try to write by baby off, as parts are REALLY dear.
Four chairs in your shed?? What are you thinking man?
Dave.

Wow, sounds like everything is going to be alright, but I feel your pain.

A few years ago, I had my bike resprayed ($1800 worth of paint job...). I rode it once before going in for knee surgery. I would go out and sit on my baby, until one night, I was sitting on her, and somehow managed to slip on some oil (from the lawnmower, parked right next to my bike), and BAM, bike fell on lawnmower, scratching and denting the hell out of my show perfect tank and side fairings. I creid, a lot...

Lesson learned, new bikes are kept on stands in the garage, away from the lawnmower...

I want you all to know I have been deeply affected by this topic. I've had a dream in which a couple of chairs got married and after a while they produced some fine young stools. I've had visions of sofas which in earlier times were ordinary chairs. I've seen Military chairs, Doctor chairs, Teacher chairs and even crack smoking chairs. But wait - what's that? Oh, it's a lawn mower buying that chair a drink. That's ok then.
