Default Parts Diagrams

I recall there was a link to a free CBR1000F set of parts diagrams in PDF format with breakdown of each component. Can anyone give me a steer?

Ya know..., those other links are great for looking a the microfiche, but there's nothing like being able to get right to the factory software like they use at the dealerships. This site is great for finding out what other models use the same part. That way if you're looking for a used part, you know what others to look at.

Enjoy..

Idiodirt, that link didn't work for me. Anyhow, Rom Ayres allows you to plug in a part number into their search engine and it'll spit out what models the part applies to- without having to install any active x controls.

I have found the same diagrams on another site. I do not know if you can cross reference. However, the parts are much cheaper at this site. Hope this helps some of you.

Verymotly, the only problemwith that site is they don't give you the part numbers or descriptions along with the diagrams. I did an unscientific comparison of their prices agaist Ron Ayres and what I found is that big ticket items are somewhat cheaper at Ron Ayres (I compared the left lower cowl, cylinder head and left muffler) but that lower ticket items seem to be about 15% cheaper at Honda Parts Direct. That, at least, is good to know. Bottom line is, get your part numbers from Ron Ayres and then plug these numbers into Parts Direct's Honda Parts Finder to see who is cheaper.

Oh hey, that is good to know. I only compared parts that I have bought. They are both cheaper than; http://www.thriftyrider.com/partsfish/sessionexpire.asp

It always nice to have lots of options. I did not mean to sound unappreciative. Any info is our friend.

Thanks,
