Part number
Yeah same part number is listed for all models after 1990, not sure if they just renamed it or actually modified the part as all 7 of the cbr1k's ive had have rattled like crazy from cold.

As far as I could see, they were identical, I placed the two of them next to each other to make sure and theylooked just the same. And boy, did it make a difference! The rattle has gone.
I did consider changing the chain, but decided against it for this year, maybe next year.
One other thing though, I can't be sure that my bike top end is "original", someone had been there before me! And they did not have a "matching set of spanners!"

For me because I'm slow and slightly **** on the valves, maybe 4 hours.
I am thinking to clean up the CCT before spending 100+ bucks for a new part. For cam shaft and chain/sprockets are need to be removed, how do you re-install cam chain sprockets and crank shaft aligned? I am working on HONDA single overhead camshaft engine right now. For example, the old engine has old-school ignition system, so the piston #1's top mark and cam shaft should be aligned or something like that. How do you do that?[/align]
Well, on dual camshaft models, the cam sprockets have marking on them to identify their position. Basically, put the crank on TDC on #1cylinder, align cams so marking on sprockets are facing directly away from each other, and bolt down everything.
Well just found out that the 14500-MZ1-000 is the new and improved CCT that I had installed last year + a new CC. Rattlingsound is still there, not much, but it's there. Can't figure out why though...
I have done alle the things that should be done to get rid of the noise. Replaced CC and CCT, adjusted the balancer, changed to the right kind of oil, and still its ther. Just around 3000 rpm when the engine is warm. Nothing when cold, only when proper warmed up... Strange!!!
