Default Ok, wtf did I buy?

Old headers have the rear mounting tab in the right spot. New headers (used) have the tab in front of the collector box. The online fiche confirms this is the right style, but the hanger point don't line up (old style with hanger at end of collector lines up). All the fiches I've looked through say the hanger should be at the front

I'll post a pic when I get In

Dunno - got pics ? , and a welder too lol

But I'm guessing you got 87/88 with the tab/hanger further forward !

This versus This

time to be a talented welder !

Funny thing is I didn't use the hanger on the old setup. And the fiches all show the hanger @ the front. Would be nice if the imageshack app didn't suck so much, then I'd have some pics

The second on is the guy I bought mine from. Not going to weld it either, already have too many coats of high temp paint that I don't want to do again

So whats the plan ? if hanging it by the rear can only ?

Hell one strip of steel drilled for the bolt holes to reach back would work !

Hang by can - what I'm doing (did that last time too). Can't do the strip of steel - lower frame tube is in the way. Only way is to make a crescent shape to clear everything, and there isn't enough room.
