Default oil filter cross reference

Can any one of my great Hurricane guru's tell me the Fram or Supertech oil filter part # for my 93 Hurricane? If not those 2 brands, maybe another easily available brand.

Thanks guys

This is worth a read... http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Consumables.html#OilFilters

Here is a cross reference for all filters.... http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/FilterXRef.html

You will see we (CBR1000F) are a "TYPE 5".

I use these and in fact use the 3.25 inche long version which is same oil filter as the Mazda V-6 car. As you will read, it is better because more surface area for filter use and being longer is easier to fit. I buy from KMart.

I could not have said it better. +1 to that. I'm using the Purolator PureOne PL14610which is available from Advance Auto as well as others. Stay away from the Fram filters. For my F3, the PL14610 is just a little too long. I think it gets too close to the headers. I use the PL14612 for it.

I did research years ago on oil filters, so +1 to IDODIRT. Fram is low buck and you get what you paid for. PUREONE is top of the line and a great value.

Same article I used a couple years ago. Good find.
I'm with everybody else on the PureOne Purolators (14610). I get them at advance, too. Just remember "fourteen six ten". I think I have 4 of them on the shelf in my garage with a case of Amsoil.
I'd stay away from fram filters. I've heard nothing good about them.

It seems I'm always helpingsomeone out with filters. Last time I was at advance, someone was looking at the high dollar moto filters and I told him to just look online for a crossref. He put the expensive one back. Then the guy at the counter asked me if I knew what filter to use on his shadow. I called him back at the store later and had him writedown the pureone number. Always good tomake friends at the local parts store...
