Uh Oh. Not good. It sounds like its either bent/worn shift forks and/or gearbox dogs.

If you are really lucky it may just be a worn shift star in which case you wont have to split the cases. But it is very hard for the average home mechanic to determine.

The CBR1000F has always had false neutrals. Me thinks its due to the gearbox design. But a bike jumping out of gear is usally caused by shifting imroperly or changing down instead of up.

In the case of worn shift forks they can't hold the gears together and they comapart allowing a false neutral. This is usually not helped by the squared off dogs being rounded off. The harder you accelerate the more the gears want to pull apart ( unless they are undercut). So often you can live with it by short shifting up unto the next gear.
