Not perfect, but 'Pretty Good'

Wheeled the old girl out today to admire her after a thorough clean, repair, paint, stainless steel fixings and found a decent pair of original silencers.
Just need to get the seat upholstered. |
Looks good, what would cause a seat to go like that.

Looks great!
Who did the painting? Powder coated wheels? What's the mileage? And what does the word 'clean' mean? |
I wouldn't get to bound up about the seat cover. Mine ran perfectly well for three years with a seat cover made of black duct tape.
However, as an aside your thread title reminded of a classic comment on Roadkill. "Pretty from afar, but far from pretty" |
looking good

Chain off, sprockets off, all fairings off, rad off and pressure test and repaint, rad guard off and sand blast and repaint, fan off, blast and repaint, front and rear wheels new bearings (NTN) with seals, new Honda rear disc and pads, pistons and seals in both front and rear calipers and pads, steel nipples, clutch and brake lever seals, headstock taper bearings renew, polish handle bars, and replace all fairing fixings and m6 bolts to stainless. Havnt touched the engine yet, as its super quiet and rattle free, so other than chainging the oil filter and checking plugs and do a compression test that'll be all for the mo. |
beautiful :icon_dance-twist: but if you don't want to get it dirty, give it here, i can help :icon_duck:

Nice work. Still one of the nicest looking bikes Honda ever put together. Of course, I'm prejudiced.

Beautiful. That sound more like a semi-complete restoration than a cleaning. Good job.
