Default Not often

Not often you'll find 2 CBR1000F's parked together, in a country that never imported them (officially) Taken this afternoon.

You ride a grey-market sportbike! I love it when something is rare and reasonably exclusive. Really makes the pic. Are they all the way from Oz or direct from Japan?

Oz, Spirit ? I'm not sure where Oz (Australia) comes into it ? Were they built there ? Mine was destined for California, (From Japan I think) but was imported into South Africa by a US citizen, who kept it for years and hardly ever rode it (judging by the mileage) Bike has had 3 owners in 18 years, me being the third. Original owner had it for around 11 years, sold it to a friend, who kept it 3 years and sold it to me.Mine now for 41/2 years. The red/white one was originally for the European market, as the speedo's in Kilo's per hour, which is about all I know.......

Shadow so you have a california model?
What that "emission thing" actually do there, i have never seen a californian model and have always thought about how it works and how it looks like?

Is it just afterburning system that directs gases from exhaust into intake again like i have on my mazda 929 wich is again a full rarity, coz cars like this has only 2 in estonia according to car registry

Edit: Sorry about the blurry pic, bad light will do that to a mobilephone-camera.

Yes it's a California model, but exactly what the system does apart from the rubber restrictors in the carb throats reducing HP I really am not sure, but I guess it's similar to the car system, but I never saw it in action on my bike - a previous owner got rid of it, and now it goes the same as any other unrestricted model......
