Hello just got 2 new to me 1988 Honda cbr1000 complete
They came to me in some what parts both need fairing put on and and good cleaning! Started on one of them that is said to of had a 94 1000f motor in it I put it all together and put new battery in it and hit the start button and nothing Uhhh not good so I start of by checking fuses all good then check all plugs good there as well power every where I need I try putting kick stand up no luck and pulling clutch in still no lock I can jump the starter cylinoid but if I hit the button nothing any idead what this could be and bike was in neutral and had new battery and starter is good tested it as well when I do hit the start button I see the lights dim down could this be the starter cylinoid being bad ? Thanks in advance for your time !

You may have to check the fuel flow and make sure the tank breather isn't blocked.
There's a vacuum hose that needs to be connected to the left side carb for the fuel to flow..........
I'd pull off one of the float bowls to see she's getting fuel and if she's got spark as you say and the timing is correct, then..............check the plugs to make sure she's not over fuelling due to a stuck needle - having not run for a while these are all options.
Good luck with it.

If you don't hear a click from the solenoid when you hit the starter switch, the Haynes Manual has a list of things to check in chapter 8. You can download the manual, plus the Honda Shop Manual, here- https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=f661f...4A8CD45E%21135

Well just came back in from messing with it some more found some bad wires I had to fix and some odds and ends tried starting it by jumping the cylinoid and found out that I am also not getting spark bad news just keeps
Coming debating on to just push it to the corner and work on it in the winter and start from scratch or to just sell them both
