RE: new sprockets, now speedo's off
Speedo normally reads about 10% over. If you change front sprocket to 16 teeth, add another 7%, and 3 teeth on the rear, another 7% (give or take a bit) so if you run, say, 16F/45 rear you'll be about 24% over on the speedo.
To my knowledge, recalibrating the speedo isn't a quick fix, is costly, and requires professional help.......

Odd. I just changed my sprocketsthe old front was 15 instead of the stock 17, rear was 45 instead of the stock 42. Speedo still reads the same: 5000 rpm equals 80 mph. Isn't the speedo driven off the front wheel? If so, changing sprockets shouldn't change the speedo reading.

I think I may have worded that wrong. It is a good thing that it is not lifting the front. I meant it is now just an issue with traction. I am not looking to make a wheelie machine out of this heavy girl, just some more low end torque. It is definitely there now. As for the speedo. Thanks for the help. I will deal with it
