Audiodan, does your registration partially include insurance of some sort? Do you still pay high insurance rates in Quebec as well as 667.00? I pay roughly 300.00 for insurance plus 40.00 for registration here and a friend of mine pays even less for his Suzuki. Also is it manatory for riders to have a safety course where you are?

Shadow, Its pretty quiet around this neck of the woods. Might see a Moose or a few white tailed deer once and a while. Pretty much dont lock up much around this part of the woods. I've accidently left the garage door opened all night once or twice and never had any problems, just field mice getting in. I cant imagine owning all those guns! Must be fun taking the kids out on Halloween!!

Sorry I kinda dwindled off the topic here....)

Oh, BTW, the adapter rings worked slicker than eel snot! Once I got the tabs clipped off the new bulbs they fit right in. I'm soooo happy! I almost gave up on those bulbs but thanks to you guys, it all worked out. Hats off to the Hurricane forum!!

Hi Gill, Yes there is a portion of insurance included in the $667 since Quebec is a No-Fault Province. My Private insurance (not part of registration) is $345/year. It's almost all inclusive (my damages are covered if I'm responsible or not but there is a $250 deductible in case of accident and $50 in case of vandalism or theft). You have to have followed a course and there is a written and practical exam unless you've had your license since 1970. So all the "Older Drivers" that decide to buy a bike (Midlife Crisis) do not need to pass an exam since they already have that class on their permit. Almost all the accidents (involving Motorcycles) are caused by young inexperienced riders Riding way over their heads and "Older Drivers" on their Cruisers. And guess who pays the price? Everyone who owns a "Sports Bike". Yep my good'ol CBR1000f 93 is part of that group (as of december2007). Funny that the zx1000 of the same year is not part of that list... No I will not go to the "green machine" I like my CBR too much! Wow, This is wayyyy of the topic of mirrors! Just shoot me, this way I won't have to pay my registration renewal!

Halloween ? Take the kids out ? You've gotta be kidding...!! We don't celebrate Halloween here.
And even if we did we wouldn't allow the little kids out on their own....too many adults of the wrong sort around, although not in my neighborhood......if there were, I might have to use some of the weapons...!! Let me know how the mirrors went.......Eel snot must be pretty slick....he he....
Sounds like the guys who designed your insurance premiums didn't have any idea. England has a good system, and Hurricanes are amongst the lowest premiums there - ask Flogger....

I flipped $115 to get a new left side mirror for my '87. It is a beautiful thing.
