Thank Denis. I’ll have a look. Hope it’s not a 4 into 1

You're right, Adrian. I think it's a 4-1. Keep looking.

I would maybe call around to a couple of local exhaust shops. It's a steel system, and a welder may be able to seal up the leaks (especially if it's at the bottom of the bike where it won't be visible)

The silencers can probably be opened up with a zipcut if the internals need repair. Again, you might need to check at some local shops to find someone with the skills to do it, and I'd recommend against just taking it to a buddy with a mig. Mig's so easy that it makes all of us think that we're expert welders, but corroded steel is easy to blow through, so you really want a pro if you can afford one. Especially if it needs to be airtight

At the very least they might be able to give you some options. It looks like a beautiful original set. It'd be a shame to toss 'em

Default Hope

David Silver parts are able to supply front pipes and collector box. And just one of the pipes so it’s a great start. Thanks everyone.

That is fantastic, but betting they are not cheap from DSS!
Lings also have a good range, not sure if you have tried them?

£430 + vat for the front pipes & £175+ vat for each silencer but only have R/H available currently. So not extortionate if it stays stock

Not as bad as I feared, so good job in getting hold of them, your bike is in fabulous condition for its age so a 'worthy' investment.

That's great to hear. I'd recommend having the header portion ceramic coated. Helps control the heat and extends their life. They look nice as well.

On the subject of headers....

Whilst having the bike stripped down, though it worthwhile trying to get the exhaust nuts off and lathering them with copperslip before the inevitable change when the salts gets to them!! Managed to get them all free (phew), having a an impact driver was a definite bonus as I have snapped a few of these in the past!
Anything else other than ceramic coating as a recommendation for extending life?
