New CBR build need help
This is my new 88 cbr 1000f i was told it had a 94 motor on it. I got it not running because the wires where cut ever where. I just got the wire worked out fix about 20 brakes. I really need pic of they way the stock wires are ran on the bike? Also any idea on what i can do about the coolant hose? Can i use auto universal hose? [IMG][/IMG]

G'Day Melvin,
Wow, you like a challenge - and good on you for that.
Firstly, if you haven't already go to the workshop manual link and download the manual for your bike (or buy a hard copy) https://cbrforum.com/forum/workshop-...anuals-101309/
Often the manual will have cable runs illustrated in them, or at least from the dismantling sections you can see where the cables are placed.
For the radiator hose, personally, I'd go Honda replacement, because if you're intending to replace all the fairings, those little buggers become VERY hard to get to. And I'd bite the bullet and replace all of them.
A couple of other things, as the carby bank doesn't look like it's a mild V shape, I'd say the PO is correct and it is a later motor which brings up another point regarding a small water hose from the water pump to the top of the engine block above the water pump. Naga Thai was researching the differences in this and I'll find the link and post it for you.
Next, check all the engine frame bolts. In the last photo you posted, centre bottom shows an empty bolt point and what appears to be an offset engine mounting point. You may need to check if the frame is straight if this does not line up.
Anyway, good luck with the build and post questions as they arise.
Cheers, SB

There should be a coolant hose there for the cylinder head, I wouldn't be too keen to run the engine without that connected.
There should be another hose opening on the other side of the cylinder head.
As Seb says, have a look at the workshop manual, it'll give you an idea of what goes where and if anything is missing.
P.S.If that is indeed a '94 engine, the carbs don't look like '94's. Check the engine number for the date of manufacture
