This afternoon
[IMG]/image]

As i always wear all the gear I'm ok, just bruised and sore, Mainly pissed off, car cut corner, I braked, changed my line, rear wheel lock up, l stood the bike up, off the rear on to the front, and ran out of room, kissed the wall at about 40kph.

I've had the bike for two week and absolutely love her. so if your in the Brisbane area and have a nice 1992, drop me a line.

Rod

Hi Rod

Sorry to hear that, you are not hurtI hope, is the bike totaled, if not let us know of the extensiveness of the damages, if it is only the front end you can replace the forks with other model's( cbr1100xx).

Good to hear you come through unscathed,Rod.
Damn,i would be crying rivers of Volcano if that happened to my 1000FN.

Another member from Adelaide was selling his,i think?[Coopz-but its a '99 model]
ebay usually has a few 89-93 models ,there were a couple up your [QLD] way through the year.

The bikes not leaking oil while is been sitting, just checked there is no oil in the sump!! but leaked from the right crank case cover at the scene (missing presumed dead) and the clutch cover is cracked, coolant is coming from somewhere on the right side, thermostat housing??.
The front and side faring's and brackets are shot, headlight is still good the protective cover must have worked. the rest is small stuff, but knowing Honda bloody expensive. both the pipes are badly damaged[:@] and the tank is dented and creased..go figure!!. As the bike is full comprehensive insured i'll not take anything apart till they give it a going over.

Thanks Rod

Sad to hear ytour news. At least your ok. Know how it feels though, six years ago my GSX 750 was totaled by a dum *** car driver and I had only had it on the road 3 days after a full renovation. I felt like ripping his head off. Good luck with the insurance

Hi Rod - good to see you're OK.
At first glance it's probably fixable - maybe you could buy some bits on e-Bay.
If it's fully insured, they'll probably write it off, bearing in mind the price of new parts.
I'd buy the wreck back and fix it - if the frame's straight, it's just mainly parts replacement.
Other option would be to sell for parts and buy a newer model.
Always sad to see one of these old girls go down - she looked beautiful before you left.[X(]

If you are in love with her, fix her up.

If you're not too emotionally involved, parting her out or letting insurance have her and buying a replacement is probably theoption I'd go for. Everything seemsfixable with a little time and effort though.
