Hi good people,
Im in my garage right now and have took the bar ends off with the intention of filling the bars with chinchilla sand (don't worry Im not daft it stops vibration, fluid dynamics and such) how ever in the bars is the keep/nut/whatever you call it that the bar end screws into and I cant figure out how to remove it and its not in the Haynes, Im cold the back end of the bike is in the rain cus its a small garage and Im fed up.
HELP !!!!!!!!!!! please

i think they may be held in place by tabs that go into drilled holes in the handle bar, you may have to remove the handle bar grip on the left hand side and the throttle tube on the right, this should give access to the tab ends, dont quote me on this as i havent done this job before

Cheers guys, I could do with new grips anyway so it seems like the right opportunity to do both.

LUXURY!

There's no room for my bike in my garage and I'm about to re-fit the CCT, replace the water pump AND replace the alternator damper.
