Default Need help

I picked up a cbr1000f a couple of weeks ago as my first bike. I have just been doing some short rides around town so far but have a question about the coolant temp. After about 10-20 minutes of run time it shows about 3/4 of the way to hot. I have plenty of coolant in the tank and it was flushed just before I got it. Is this normal? If not are there usual things that go out on these bikes?

check the coolant temp sensor on the bottom left hand side of the radiator.. well.. i guess check to make sure that the fan is running.. it it isn't, check that sensor, unplug the wire to it and jumper it to ground (make sure you have a GOOD ground) and the fan should start up.. if this works, a temporary fix is to just leave the fan on via jumper wire

I have a spade connector near the vents and can just hook it up if I'm in rush hour traffic, it's fine otherwise as long as I'm moving
