Does any body have a red line starting at 6500RPM??
Mine is a 95 model..

No, I do notice more power kick in at 6-6.5, maybe it's about that

Im sure it indicates economy ect..Im more interestd in the model itself..Im just trying to find out where it was imported from,since I cant get hold of the original owner...I also think it might be a restricted model{to 105 hp}..thanks anyway.

where are you from? mine is a 95 also and the tachometer doesn't redline until around 10500. Shadow1 can tell where its from i bet, or classic.

I believe that with the resticted models, the restriction is only theinlet boots

I've never seen a tach on a Honda that indicates redline in that manner. 10,500 is redline on the CBR1000F engine.

Is it possible that's a replacement for the OEM?

No idea..The bikes all original except for the screen and Krauser Rack..what Im trying to find out is where the bike is from originally..and mabye the Tacho can lead mein the right direction to which country the bike was imported from..{exp-only swiss models had a red line starting at 6500rpm to show economy..}

Mine is a UK 1990 model and the red line is 10500, cant be more help than that, sorry

Some German bikes were also limited to 100 HP - easy to fix.......
