Default my first bike!

Hello all, I just bought my first bike today, a 1988 cbr1000f hurricane black on redwith 13k for 1650, my buddy who has a blackbird said its a lot like his bike and liked the fact that you sit more upright on the cane than the bird seeing as how we ride for long distances. Very nice, very powerful haha. The only things wrong with it was the cam chain rattles a bit which ive read is a common problem on these older ones, some scratches and minor crackson the fairing which are from being dropped twice in the garage, and its prolly gonna need a rear tire soon. After the test ride I just had to buy it so I bought it on the spot. The ride back home on the old gs1000 felt so slow and not smooth at all compared to that quick little ride around on that bike. I cant wait to pick it up and post more riding experiences with that beautiful machine.

Welcome to the forum - camchains are a problem, but an easy fix - plenty of advice here - the guys are very helpful, and we learn from each other.
Manual for the bike is at
> http://members.iinet.net.au/~cbr/Hon...Manual.pdf>
OR
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/midlife/i...ice_Manual.pdf
Hope it works -
Enjoy your new baby !

Age, experience and deviousness will overcome youth, inexperience and energy EVERY TIME
and besides, the older one gets, the bigger the age span of girls who look attractive.......ar ar
whether we're talking about bikes or women is irrelevant - same rules apply.

You sound like that guy on that movie, what was it?...dazed and confused?
"That's what I love about those high school girls......
I keep getting older, and they stay the same age. Yes they do."
