I think you'll be right on a nice CBR1000F (They're notcalled Hurricanes down here) They're balanced well, just can be a bit a handful when pushing it around.

Your 600 looks awesome... Be hard to part with that...

Happy birthday, Jules! I have to agree that it would be hard to part with that 600 of yours. My 1k is definitely a handful standing still even for me, but it's oh so nice out on the road. I can't imagine riding anything else.
