Geoffv, the sprocket I was talking about , was the Advancing ignition timing from V & H, not the chain sprockets.
Can you post photos of the Genmar risers, Zero Gravity windshield and saddle bags???

I'll take some pics and post them. There are a few with my Givi bags in the gallery.

Givi Bags. If you guys have questions or interst in them, ask away I did a lot of research on bags. These are great, I wish I would have gotten the 5 Star (German company) mounting bracketts which are tubular, but 5 Star stopped making them. Givi does make tubular mounts which aren't as bulky as the Wingrack system. Both side and top cases can fit 2 full sized helmts. I have an integrated breaklight on top box (which is why you see the wire) as well as the led lights by the plates which flash for 5 seconds before going to a steady light.

Hey Red Baron you have some nice bits on yer bike.

Where do you buy the V&H advanceer from. They sell bugger all CBR parts in Australia.

BTW is that a fork brace you have on the bike?

My mods are small but growing.

Barnett heavy duty clutch plates & springs.
Custom front fork valving with progressive springs.
Eibach Spring & custom valving on the rear.
V&H 4-2-1 with K&N
Custom re-foamed & reshaped seat.
NGK Iridum plugs.

Trips, I got the Advancing V&H sprocket from www.denniskirk.com many years ago and don't know if it's still available.
Can't hurt calling them.
The fork brace is TELEFIX, can't remember who I got it from, but at the time (1998) there was also another one called SUPERBRACE.
I went with Telefix, because of the German quality construction and the look of it.
I remember it was in an add, in the advertising section of Motorcyclist magazine.

How is the Barnett clutch???
Is it harder on your hand???

The barnett is good.

I fried the original trying to drag a Busa.

Buch better take off and powering out of corners etc.

but also a bit more "sudden"

Hand operation wasn't much different at all.

How much difference did the fork brace make to the bikes handling on the front?

My bike since new had a little steering shake, when I took my hands were off the handle bars.
(I know, who want's to take their hands off the bars)
Anyways, this took care of the problem.
I just feel it is more solid, only in my imagination since no more shakes.

You may want to get rid of the stock steering head bearings.

From the factory they came out with very little grease.

Also they are a ball bearing design in a race wich doesn't last long.

I changed to tapered and the difference was great.

But having said that the CBR's do get a bit of headshake on sidewinds or buffeting from behind other viechles. But I've taken mine to 265kph and have hit decent sized bumps at those speeds and its never turned into a slapper
