Me too - but that's what the EDIT button is for - haha
That works well except if you post it and bugger off for a couple of hours - then your sins come back to haunt you (or all your mates give you big stick)
Take me a while to live this one down....Fark me exhausts connected to the barrels.........
O well, maybe time to hang up the spanners...................

Shadow, That will teach you to repeat anything that sprock tells you...

Harry,
Sounds like you're not exactly having luck with those studs..
That sucks. I've never had to do one on the CBR, but have done them on a couple of cars. They either come out really well, or they are the biggest PITA ever. (or you say **** it, and leave them alone..lol..)
I feel your pain. Using an oversized helicoil sounds like a pretty good idea. Like I said, I've never done it on a bike, but if dean0 says it will fit.. I'd try it.

As far as the rest of it... I know how you feel about things not being "right" on a bike. (cosmetics, etc.)
I probably wouldn't sell it, but do what you want. Do what makes you feel good...
But if buying a blackbird that matches deano's, and then riding around with him is what makes you feel good... well, I can't help you there... lol..

Listen Up Trout if i told ya once I'll have to say it again just stick to LEGO
everything else is waaaay too complex for ya.......seems you been sharing
your "not so smart pills" again

You were three posts down from it and .............ddddeeeerrrrrrr.......nada
musta being dreaming of silver and blue paint schemes and unlinked brakes again.

Yez could always slap a used head on there if yez can't get the bloomin'
nub stud out, although sounds like your in far enough on it now that
drilling and a coil will work too........casual observation, last time I was
drilling out a head bolt on a V4 Johnson boat motor.........and it was a
complete muvver plucker.

For your information, sprock.... I skip over most of what shadow posts...

(Actually, I kinda cocked my head when I read it, and thought "WTF is he talking about?" and then I forgot all about it by the time I went to post... now THAT may have been the pills... stupid percocet... lol.. )

Wait.... who asked you to speak, anyway?
I've torn apart more hondas than you've probably seen. No more mouthing off from you, or it's back to the failboat..

Oh, and Johnson's suck...lol...

Johnsons do suck which is why my primo motor for the water is a
Honda BF50. 4 stroke super quiet, great for fishing and all day
on a couple of gallons of unmixed gas.

O h yeah I seriously doubt you have pulled more motors apart
Honda's maybe ( I find usually they don't need it unless you **** em up)
but the rest I figure I've done around 20 or so .........of course that means
youve done fifty automatically .........right ............LOL ya lying sack
of sheep *****

51 to be exact... lol..
No, probably close to 20 or so, I'd say. More than just Hondas (and yes, they usually fail from abuse...and yes, I've abused a couple...). I've done all types, though....fords, chevys, etc. Even VW's and Saab (NIGHTMARE!!!)
I prefer working on Hondas, though. I've had many of my own, and I used to work with a guy at a home shop doing nothing but Honda builds.

As far as the Johnson motors sucking, yes they do. However, I phrased my first comment incorrectly. I MEANT to say the you suck johnson's. It just came out wrong. But yes, johnson motors suck, too...

Harry, sounds like your giving this deep thought. One thing you may want to consider is that the value of the bike is only relevent when you want to sell. By that I mean, my bike is worth about $3k to sell, but to me its worth $6 - 7 k because that's what I'll need to spend to replace it with another bike I'd be happy with.

Whatever happens, don't disappear over the horizon, keep posting.
