Cool = deano & minxy aren't too far away - we'll all have to get together at some point when I get back to the UK and sort out my bike :-)

Good to see you back, but to be fair the CBR1K is no snail. Let's talk through the issues, I'm sure there is enough collective knowledge here to help you reinstall the pit ponies.

Very small Japanese horses, they're smaller than English horses.

Here is precisely what you need to look for AND REMOVE

Come on now 2 years is a long enough time to delay the necessary
and the inevitable

Check what sprock said - you may find another 25 horses are just waiting to be let loose.

These bikes aren't slow. Maybe yours is but we can fix it............

Welcome to the forum John W. What year do you have?

WOW! Sprock, those pics of the restricted boots are something. (looks like pic 006 is restricted and 007 isn't)

IIRC the French bikes had limited chevaux due to taxation on bikes over 100hp, some USA models (California?) due to emissions.
My USA import '86 750f had the restrictors in the carbs.

UK 1000f bikes had circa 130bhp, with the '87/88 versions the most powerful of the 1000f series.

Open to being corrected natch....

(As an aside I read recently that the French are proposing to bring in new legislation to ban bikes over 100bhp from Paris.)

Can't take full credit on the link it was "researched" ( pic properties ) from a post
Dylan "Kilgoretrout" posted a year or so back in another thread and the full link
discerned from there

"SEARCH" - works real good - just a friendly reminder
