Default Mirrors

Anyone having problems with their mirrors moving, they are both tighten all the way but one in particular keeps moving on me.
The previous owner had put blind spot mirrors (“Cat’s-eye mirrors”) on both which is working out really well, when the mirror hasn’t moved.

Yeah mine used to fold in when I went over 200kph. What happens with the mirrors is they they are just a bar that is clamped. Whenever the are forceibly moved by being bumped against something or dropped a little bit of metal tends to be striped from the bar so you have to keep tightening up until you can't tighten up any more (the bolt thread usually gets stripped)

Here is what I did.

1st I used a much longer bolt on the clamp bit so that it poked out on the other side. I then put a nut on the bolt (very tight fit). This allowed me to clamp it a lot more tightly.

Three things you can do:
1- use a pressure washer
2- use Locktite
3- use a longer bolt with a Teflon liner nut
If this doesn't work, then you are riding tooo tooo SLOW.LOL
What is behind, stays behind and who cares.
Remember, everyone is afraid of the Hurricane and no one will dare pass one.

My concern is not in the forward motion aspect, but in regards to being rear ended.

I eventually fix that bastard mirror,
I had pull it apart several time and had tried electrical tape, plummers tape, even hot glue gun.
This time I got it, I used shrink wrap, just one piece (9.5mm diameter), and make it a little longer so it hangs over the top a bit.
Heat it up and the middle section will shrink in leaving a space for the screw and The top forms a skinny hat so that the bracket can slide on better.
Once on, clip to hat off.
I have about 4mm of adjustment now and it's tight , It doesn’t move when you get a bit of speed.
