Has anyone taken a mirror apart on a CBR1000F 1987 or have any idea how to take the mirror out?

The glass is easily disassembled. Get a plastic lever like the ones for removing the glass on cell phones. These have a raised edge at the tip. Heat the outer part of the capsule that holds the glass with a hairdryer and when it is hot it will soften. Insert the plastic lever between the glass and the caspula. Turn the lever around the glass and the mirror comes off easily. Greetings

 

To reassemble the mirror, soften with the heat of the hair dryer and insert the glass. Saluti dall'Italia
