Default Manual cam chain tensioner for 1000F

Last spring I built my own manual cam chain tensioner for my 1987 CBR 1000. The tensioner worked absolutely flawless all summer. I am going to take a look at the inside of my engine very soon to see how everything looks. I did post that there may be a kit form of my tensioner available. The only thing that makes the mod a bit of a challenge is that you have to drill a 1/2 hole through your babies engine to install the adjuster. If anyone can bring themselves to do this than please send me a message. If response is good than I will definately make a how to video and produce tensioner kits.

The advantage of a manual tensioner is possitive timing at alltimes. The chain does not become slack while waiting for oil pressure to build up in the tensioner.

Why not drill a hole in the tappet cover to adjust, or are you using an old style CB750 type adjuster ?

While I admire your dedication, there's NO WAY I will be drilling a hole in my head !
