Default low revs

If you look at the pic you can see the side of the carb, and just above the adjustment screw you can see a circular section that is where the seals are. These can be covered in vasilene to soften the seal inside. Hope this helps

Thanks for the nice comments. It took about 5 months to recondition, and I must admit, its a pleasure to ride, but it does go out in the wet, but now that it has been done, its easier to clean.

Thanks for the photo collector, and I agree with the others, it puts mine to shame (but my excuse is I have to use mine in all weathers for work)

Default Lumpy idile--AS far as i seen all cbr 1000f do that--check you tube and listen

[QUOTE=sawnee;741943]Hi guys, I'm after picking your brains, my '90 is running ok but at low revs when creeping along it is slightly lumpy, it feels like it is missing or choking as you slowly accelerate. There is no black smoke, the plugs are fairly new, the carbs have been cleaned out and sync'ed. Am I missing something obvious?
The problem is not serious, just chuffin annoying, if you roll into a slow corner as you pull out of it, for a split second it feels like the bike is going to "fall" into the corner!
Over 2500 rpm its fine and runs like a dream. I have been ironing out teethi

Default Lumpy at idle

I've just got back from a holiday so haven't read the whole thread. Forgive me if this is a repeat, but if your idle is set too low, ie below 1200 RPM, the bike will tend to stutter on slow pullaways. Mine did.
