Lots of heat on left side only, does yours do this too?

Good Man!
I only asked in case this anomaly you've found actually exists across the board but one has noticed it whilst wearing ATGATT.
Sounds like you've had a good check over to see that all the bits which govern the air path are where they should be. I'm stumped as to what to suggest other than 'get used to to it'.
In the UK, when it does actually get hot, you definitely know you're sitting on top of a fast oven. The heat blast at low speed is considerable, bordering on uncomfortable.
Happy riding mate.

hello
is your antifreeze coolant at the right mixture? If you are in a warmer climate you should have a more watery mixture and the coolant. If it is still at 50/50 and the average day is say 90*F you may want to thin it out. It will run hotter the stronger the concentrate. I can safely run 50/50 in pa cuz it is relatively cool up here versus arizona per say. (Usually only a high of maybe 80*F) This is just a thought. If you other guys think it may hurt your bike please do not follow my idea. (Works for cars why not bikes right?)

I am running 50/50. Regardless of how hot it is outside, the bike coolant temp gage never gets to the halfway mark. So it's not a question of the bike running too hot, my observation is that my left leg gets very warm while riding, while I feel almost nothing on my right leg. There must be something about the way air is directed through the radiator, over the engine, through the fairing, and out.

I've been thinking about this for awhile. Running hot in the city, especially in the summer, is a common theme here. Many have gone the route of installing a manual fan switch for stop and go traffic.
Yours seems a special problem though. Why the left side only?
My conclusion is that you might be running into an over lean condition in cylinders 1 and/or 2. They might be running hotter than the other cylinders. Pull and inspect your plugs to confirm this. Also, if have access to an infrared thermometer, warm the bike up and measure the temps at the exhaust headers. If this is the case, a carb sync or a total rebuild could alleviate this problem and also extend the life of the bike
My 2 cents, anyway
