Default Looking for front wheel bearing

Anyone out there have a spare front wheel bearing (I only need one) that they could sell me cheap. My bikes a 95 but bearings from anything '90 or later should work. I'm in Philly PA, so anyone outside the US or Canada should ignore this post.

There is nothing special about the front wheel bearings for the 1000F. You can do a search for 6004 bearings. You want rubber seals on both sides. You can probably get them from a local industrial bearing company. They are also available on ebay for only a few $.

Yeah, I know. I can get a set of aftermarket bearings with seals from All ***** for less than $20 delivered. The only problem is I just replaced my bearings, and as usual when doing something I haven't done before, I'll get it right the second time I try it. Anyhow, I didn't get it right the first time so I only need one bearing to try to get it right now. I'm just trying to save a few bucks- I'm broke at the moment.

A 6004 bearing bought from any hardware store would do good. The price (here in sweden) is less then $10.

Are you sure about that number? The little research that I've done tells me that the pre '90 1k takes different bearings than the post '90 models. Which model will that fit?

If you look at
http://fiche.ronayers.com/
You can see that all CBR1000F have 6004 front bearings.

Ok HH, I guess you're right. Now I just need to know what hardware stores (chains) in the US would carry these bearings. Anyone know?

I'm up at 5am most mornings, and work starts at 09.00 (mine does)
so not difficult - did it before I left......I've just had to build up such a network over the years to get spares at non-Honda prices and it's nice to put it to use helping one of our own.......
My own bike has a windscreen from England, my helmet came from New York State, my leathers from the Isle of Man, etc etc I'm too stingy to pay retail Honda prices.......[:@].....and it keeps me off the streets.......he he
