I have tried dual compound tires in the past. Great concept for a Goldwing that is used for heavy over the road use. In the S/T world, I found the harder center in the rear helped to keep the tire fresher longer. I did not like the hard center on the front tire. The sides wore out much quicker than the center and made the tire shape, "V", more pronounced quicker. In the rain the harder center made stopping more difficult. I could also feel the the different tire grip as I leaned the bike and I did not like that feel.

My final note: Straight line riding, 2 thumbs up (except in the rain where I would say 2 thumbs down), S/T 1 thumb sideways and 1 thumb down.

There is no good reason to put Pilot Powers 2CT's (or equiv.) on one of these bikes unless it's your track day weapon. Any of the newest S/T tires provide as much grip as track day tires did just a few years ago, and will last 3x as long. Get a set of Roads, or BT021's, or whatever, and enjoy.
