OK I got it, well I don't pick it up until next week. It runs real good and started up without a problem after setting for 3 months. There is a small leakat the head gasket. That I'm going to fix this winter. Everything works on it and rides real nice. They have all the fairings that need to be put back on. They were removed so I could inspect it. It was completely serviced and inspected when the last person got it back in May. I can't belive how nice it is for a 1988 and I got it $1000. Here are some pictures.

I think you really made out on this one. That is a clean bike. Like I said before, even if you don't fix the leak, you can part it out and make over $2000 easy.

BTW, I like the ProGrip pad.

Congratulations,you made a good deal !
I would have bought it right away even though i have one already, hard to make deals like that here in Sweden.
About 2800 US dollars is the start price for a -87 model, sometimes you could find a cheaper one but they're often crap.
My -89 costed 3880 USD.and i think it was a good buy.

nice buy there, looks like a brand new bike, but when u say head gasket gone, dont u mean rocker gasket leaking, i would hardly think that the headgasket is gone

Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to some good riding and fixing it up. I'm 51 years old and have not done much riding for 20 years. So I'm going to take it show. I have 2 sons that have bikes and were looking forward to riding together. I will let you know when I get it home.

I will be needing help from people on this forum and hopefully I can help someone someday.

Steve
