I group of my friends and I go on a trip years yeart on the bikes and we will ride 400 to 500 miles each day and stop to camp each night for a week. we will ride where ever we point the bikes, and stop for the night and after 4 days out we start back.
It is the best thing for your soul and your mind. Nothing planned and no where to be for a week just the road and great friends.

 

richhowerton, I agree I ride my bird EVERY day rain to sun shine and it just puts you in a great mood especially when you are off to work it puts a smile back on my face, and if you have troubles the open road is only around the corner. You might start of giving the bike a hard time but I calm down quickly and then enjoy the ride plus I work out my demons, and I had a break off the saddle for 25 years to bring up 3 teenagers.

 

My longest ride was not long ago, not on my CBR but on my Super Magna, 3200km in a week (about 2000mi):

Done a few 1000k trips in 1 day on the CBR, longest ever ride was Adelaide to Perth and back on my old GPZ1100 (82' model) over 4-5 days, it didn't miss a beat Around 3000k each way

 

Hi, Our last summer ironbutton drive was only 1000 miles under 24 hours. But interesting it became when our limits on roads are60, 80 and 100 km/hour and we were driving 23 bikes and 32 peopleincluding me. And every bike survived. We drove Finland from its southern end to northern end. Unfortunately I havent a story in english but if you want to see some photos, bikes on trip and our timing and stopovers look:

Me and my son are crossing over to France for a long weekend, him on the R1 and me on the faithfull CBR1000FX. The only luggage will be what we can fit in a tank bag each. Photos will be posted.

 

I've only done 650 km on a single day.

 

Regina, SK to Ottawa, ON in the middle of September, 1985 on an 1983 v45 Interceptor. Ended up buying a skidoo suit on day 2, and chest waders on day4 when the rainsuit gave out. Day 5 (Blind River to Ottawa) was still one of my most memorable rides. I'm thinking it was about 3000 km in total.

 

my buddy rode his 2006 gixxer 1000 from atlanta ,ga. to fontana,ca. the long way , took him about 20 days , did alot of sightseeing and put alot of miles on a brand new superbike.
