Good point Dub, I don't believe I've any seen any bikes in NZ branded as "Hurricanes"; different markets, different decals.
WTF, they will still make you smile, whatever the decals the factory has decided to apply on that particular day of manufacture. |
DCBS vs LBS
Hey:
While we are at it Dual Combined Braking System (DCBS) and Linked Braking System (LBS) are also the exact same thing for 92+ models. Just all LBS bikes were for the North American Markets, all DCBS bikes were for the most part everywhere else but North America, it is just a decal thing that is the same thing for all 92+ CBR1KFs. DCBS was first on the 93 models Dub. I have a 92 and it doesn't have DCBS. Cheers.

Yes this is a conundrum, Bordo the reason I list it as 1992+ is that a few markets Japan and Middle East (SWA) get bikes before the other markets or as in the USA not at all some years. As you well may know 1992 was a changeover year, and the MK3 was released early in those markets so you could have a 1992 MK2 or a early release Mk3 registered as a 1992. The same goes for 1989, I have seen both models MK1 and MK2 registered as 1989 it depends on the market, and the place of regs rules. That is why it is easier to refer to CBR1000Fs by the Mk1, Mk2, and Mk3 since we have a true International presence on here, plus I rather be inclusive than exclusive. Dub |
