Nice shot. Did you have enough luggage? Where's your rain suit?

Here's a pic of my and my CRB on The Gap this past Sept. This was the last day of a 3000+ mile trip I took up to MA and back to TN.

It sucked!
The Pics of me-n-the Mrs. were from first week of April. We rode up into that fog on the Cherhola Skyway and it froze on the visor. When I came thru your neck of the woods , upstate NY, returning from Montreal, I had better weather in July but got a ticket in Peru, NY. That Sucked! Lake Placid and Ada Mts. were great though.

Oh, I'll wonder over and check the "Get Together"! Cheers!

Ya, I had about enough luggage. I was away from home for 16 days, including a couple of days at Borgata in AC, and a wedding, so my clothing load had to be a little higher than normal.

re: rain suit: It was warm, and it was spotty raining on/off for the entire trip (almost literally the entire trip) so after a while I stopped bothering and just rode myself dry.

There are guys who sit up at Deal's Gap every day and take pics and then sell them on the Interwebs.

Or...I rigged up a motion sensor trigger for my camera out of beef jerky and a tire plug kit, bungeed it all to a sleeping Antelope, and rode by.

I tried your method and I'm beginning to think you may be fibbing. Antelope are surprsingly light sleepers... LOL...

And Jim, very cool pic, too!

here is some pics from my summer.

We had more than a few rides that is wy i was not here often. We covered something like 15000kms this summer and we had a lot of rain, the outings were often 400kms each time and up.

Funny thing that happened;

At a break ; a guy who swore my bike was his old one!
Comming back from the 347 being tight on time and 'following' the trafic at an average of 185-190 km/h.

Quite a scare; we were in the mountains on toute 364 and you uphill then a right after the top there going back down is a 90 degrees right hander , as i started to lean the old girl got a bump, both tires were not touching the pavement i was sure as i was touching the road i would highside, i put allmy weight on the inside peg and i remember hearing in my helmet woooho! but she touch the ground settled herself and took the curve! back at the coffe stop the guys told me me : what a rider but any traces in your shorts! they were sure i would loose her lol.

Going to Ontario by the Carrillon ntional park and meeting a swarm of bees at 120km/h, felt like someone was gunamchining me, but soon realise i was stung on my right tigh, and i am allergic to bee venom, on small rural roads i was doind some spirited riding to get to the nearest hospital after using my anakit. Two ours of observation at the hospital....

Going to a honda dealer and seeing mechanics and some personnal comming out of the building to see the old girl tthen being ask to participate in a show they were preparing: they were trying to get significant Honda's motorcycles to make an history path leading to the opening of the dealership: accepted and now when ordering arts i call they don,t ask me for a deposit.

Spirited riding, staying in front a Buell xb12 lightning in the twisties on route 347( that bike has wickededly fast steering compared to the cbr1000f).

Exchanging bike with one of my friend during a ride to realize that the cbr1000f gave the same feelings as triumph st1050( in fact i did not feel any difference except that the Hurricane has more guts) so i decided to keep the old girl.

Having an article in a anational magazine with the old girl and being recognize by readers wherever i went ( that is cool) and then hearing are you the guy in the magazine! And riders of newer sportbikes slowing down and looking at you then giving you the thumb up when passing you on the highway!

A friend in another city telling you he was at at the dentist then seeing the magazine in the aiting room, kind of funny knowing that poeple read about you anywhere lol.

Loosing some good riders in my club.

That is about it.

next summer :

planning to do the dragon trail
Visiting memebers of this forum that are not too far from me!
Keeping the cbr1000f in good shape to try to reach 140-145000kms.
convince my wife that i allso need a blackbird!
