Post Leathers

Need help. It`s been 4 years since riding and just picked up a Hurricane
last week.I went to try on my leather jacket and oooops way to tight.
Need some advice as I am on a strict budget. The jacket is a size 46,when
I bought it I was 160 lbs.I am now close to 200lbs,when I quite smoking
I gained a lot of weight and now I think I`ll stay around 190.I had a Joe Rocket and I see on Canadas Motorcycle website Alpinestars Stunt 2
on special for 259,any suggestions, also the sizes are Euro like 56,58 and
so on.Should I buy new or look on kiji for used leathers, any ideas would
really help me out.Thanks

New or second hand, I wouldn't buy any without trying it on first. I still have the Lewis Leathers jacket I bought when i was about 19 (44 now). I used to wear it with a thick jumper in Winter but now it's a bit..er..snug with just a t shirt. The second zip has just crapped out so i might be in the same boat as you mate.

Buy the best quality you can and try it on whilst sitting on a bike in riding position. That's the best advice I can give you.

How good's your French Kiwi TK ?
Not as good as Dragon's English I'll bet..................
even on a laptop with coffee.
(seeing as French is his mother tongue, not English)

LOL thanks Shadow,

LOL

I should take in the habit of rereading my posts before hitting submit replys, but often I am doing 3 things at once.

I'll make an effort I have no excuse, but I hate laptop keyboards!

Good lord!
Post #1 was the question and post #8 was when the A.D.D. kicked in. Wow, new record. LOL

Anyway, whatever leathers you get, make sure they are tight fitting. I have heard form my brother that he has a coworker who went down with looser fitting leathers. He got a 3rd degree burn form the the ultrasonic vibration that the leathers made while he was sliding. The doctor told him that he saw this all the time from people wearing "designer leathers". Thick tight leathers like an extra set of skin is best.

Doing 3 things at one time is related more toward A.D.H.D. That is not a problem if you are not making mistakes while preforming the tasks. Try to focus more and drink more coffee. The coffee will help to burn you out and then you will slow down and stay on task. LOL

Drinking alcohol will make you type funny but it makes you stronger. Drinking coffee with Canadian whiskey will give you super powers.<----Proven fact. LOL
