Looking foward to see pics when you pull up the CBR on its rear banana, be careful though.

I have adjusted the float levels to 9 mm, but saw in another reference that they should be set to 13 mm. Any one have exeperienced this and know for sure what the optimal float level should be?
I set my 1990 to the books 9mm, but a local shop mechanic said to adjust them to 7mm for Denver (above 5,000 feet).

Taking the risk being called stupid, I'm curious about this. At high altitudes the air is less dense. To keep the same air/fuel ratio at high altitudes would then mean less fuel to me. 7 mm float level compared to 9 mm would give more fuel since the floater device will move up 2 mm. The float level measuremet is taken from the float device to the upper joint of the float chamber. I might very well be wrong but that is how I understand it. If you have the possibility to double-check with the Denver mechanic, please come back and report his point of view.

I have appended a blurry picture from the Honda manual that reads 13,7 mm float level, while the Haynes manual specify 9 mm if I remember right. I use the same setting as you, 9 mm,

The guy would be lucky if he makes that turn, there seems to be a lot of air between the rear tyre and the tarmac. The silencer is scratching ground and lifting the rear. If thats whats needed, IĀ“ll pass...

I wached a movie on the Swedish www.sporthoj.com where a goldwing was followed and filmed by another bike.
The goldwing scraped the bags in every curve and the sportbike following had a hard time keeping up.
Thats the spirit!

Got a link to the video? I'd like to see it. I looked at the site and couldn't find it...

My swedish is kinda rusty - haven't spoken it since 1612.

oh my god!! that pic is insane. There is little chance of that guy making the turn. There is a good reason he has a cage on that bike.
