Thanx Naga_Thai,
I must be a bit crap at this, coz section 4.4 seemed to be about oil pump removal. . . . . Cool to have access to Haynes manual without bein 30 bucks lighter in the wallet tho !

RE: Introduction

There are 2 main W/shop manuals we use in this forum for CBR1000F.

1. Honda W/shop Manual for 1993 onwards -
http://www.members.iinet.net.au/~cbr...ice_Manual.pdf

2. Haynes W/shop Manual for 1987 onwards-

You were looking in the Honda not the Haynes....

Look here.. In the meantime here are the 2 pages you need.. http://tinyurl.com/5q42ss[/b]

Suggest - in your own time - download both .... ENJOY!!!!!!!

Hmm.. maybe it's just me, but that doesn't look like a fuel pump to me.
Is that the brush basketfor pump motor?

RE: Introduction

Could be - I'm told that's what breaks - I just read what it said on the box -
my bike doesn't have one at all, it's a later model, like Classic's which would explain why he can't sell me a pump he ain't got......:D:D

I'll see if there are any uncracked pumps on the net- pity plastic steel isn't an option ?
I'll keep a'lookin, see what's cookin':D
Maybe thi'd do it - $121 is way better than $600 !

RE: Introduction

With a little fabrication any external pump, with enough flow, could be used. I would stick with an OEM (even if it's not a Honda part)as opposed to aftermarket unit.

Thanks guys. There's already been a fairly substantial amount of fabrication gone into this mongrel, a little more won't be a problem Imo000,

just a footnote to the thread guys. . . .the buggers don't run real well without the fuel pump, although it would get you home , like being in 'limp' mode. . . . suffers fuel starvation at sustained running over half revs. Anyway, carved myself a new one from a solid lump of devcon, so all good now. . . .

Hi Steve.
Not been that good at taking photos , been too busy building it !. . . .however, have a few, so may do a 'wreck to finished (almost) product' montage shortly. All testing to date has been done on dodgy plates, but she's almost ready for a legit rego now, and looking ok ! watch this space mate, and thanx for your interest.
