Interesting idea bar risers
 

I've never seen this done before. It's pretty obvious really but then sometimes the most obvious ideas are the ones most over looked.
Any of you guys tried doing anything like this?

I'm looking forward to fitting my VFR bars tomorrow. I know they work, but having a way to fit a regular handlebar to a bike which was designed for a clip on arrangement opens up a whole new world of riding positions.

I've seen something similar used on a Fireblade.

Not the neatest looking set-up, your vfr bars will look much better.

Why anyone would ever consider doing that to one of these bikes is beyond me but each to their own.

It definitely works, guys do that to stunt bikes a lot. I've seen one on the cbr1000f and I even considered it but it looks a little messy.

as said ...not my cuppa tea, viffa bars or risers have a more complete look

Spiegler makes a kit same principle just better looking custom triple tee
using a dual sport type handlebar.

I have used RoxSpeed risers (1R-AV2SE) on another bike I have and I must
admit the idea as presented by Henry did cross my mind when I was fitting
them on the other bike......but it would kind of get away from the traditional
style of a CBR

I think it also gets away from where Honda envisioned the rider would be positioned. Yes sitting up straighter certainly assists your back, shoulder, whatever, but the bike is designed for a rider to be in a certain position and I think changing that and putting aftermarket bars etc, would result in the bike behaving differently however slight it may be. Just my thoughts. :icon_wink:

Steve's set up looks nice in component form but as you all say, not as Honda intended. I'll be interested to see how it looks once he's got the bike back together again. I'm sure his back will appreciate it.
