Default Insurance

I am trying to find offers on insurance and its like 300 percent difference on the offers i am getting. Main reason for the higher ones is that ofcourse a cbr1000f 1987(veteran bike) is classified as a racer. So now the fun starts for me trying to convince them that a sport touring is not a racer.
Anyone having the same "fun" with insurance compagnies

Nope - not here - 9 bucks a month to insure - and the 87 I just got qualifies for an
"Antique" registration plate even less to insure when the time comes since she's now
25 years old lol

All depends on where you get your insurance. I know in Canada TD insurance just removed the Hurricane form the banned list, as I tried last year and it would not go but this spring its removed. I have had places that quoted me $1500 a year for just liability. I was paying $680/year and now through TD is $450 so I am a little happier.

Now If I could only find luggage racks and a rear tail mount for a trunk.

Good Luck

I have liability only for my Hurricane and an FZ1 and it's $166.00 a year through Progressive. Thats for both bikes combined.

I suppose the cost of your ins really depends on where you live, the crime rate etc. Just got my renewal notice and it came to £162 or $246 for the yr. Comprehensive policy inc breakdown cover and a second rider. Gonna have to just pay up i suppose....Mind you it was the best deal I could find after much research...

$22.00 a month for full coverage through Farm Burea. They don't classify them, it's just based on value of the bike. I insured mine for $3000.00
